.voto

.voto is a generic top-level domain built around a word for “vote” used in several Romance languages, including Spanish, Italian and Portuguese. It gives election and participation projects a language-specific alternative to .vote.

The extension can suit civic information, campaigns, polling, associations, community decisions and voting platforms aimed at audiences who naturally use the word “voto”. A candidate, issue or organization before .voto can form a concise political or participatory address.

Registration is not limited to governments or official election bodies. A .voto domain does not prove that a website is an official voting service, that a ballot is legally valid or that results are authoritative.

For public elections, users should verify procedures and official information with the responsible election authority.

VYR classifies .voto as open, subject to registry and ICANN policies, acceptable-use requirements, reserved names and third-party rights.
