.vote

.vote is a generic top-level domain built around elections, ballots, polls and collective decision-making. The short word can be used for both civic information and private voting systems.

The extension can suit election information, campaigns, associations, polling platforms, shareholder votes, surveys and civic-education projects. A candidate, issue or organization before .vote can create a direct call-to-action style address.

The current registry framework is non-sponsored rather than restricted to governments or election authorities. A .vote domain therefore does not prove that a site is an official election service, that a ballot is legally recognized or that a voting system is secure.

For public elections, voters should confirm procedures, deadlines and official results through the relevant election authority.

VYR classifies .vote as open, subject to registry and ICANN policies, reserved names, acceptable-use requirements and third-party rights.
