.org.cn

.org.cn is a category namespace beneath China's .cn country-code domain. CNNIC lists ORG.CN among the established category domains and uses organizations such as the China Computer Federation as examples of the namespace.

It can suit associations, organizations, communities and institutions that want a China-oriented domain with an organizational identity. The “org” label is descriptive, but the registration remains governed by CNNIC's .CN framework.

CNNIC requires registrant information to be real, accurate and complete, and registrars perform identity or organization verification using the documentation applicable to the registrant. This makes the practical process more controlled than registration under a typical open gTLD.

A .org.cn domain does not itself prove nonprofit status, government recognition or membership in any organization.

VYR classifies .org.cn as mixed because it is broadly usable while remaining subject to substantial .CN verification and registry requirements.
