.net.cn

.net.cn is a category namespace beneath China's .cn country-code domain. CNNIC lists NET.CN among the established .CN category domains and uses it for network- and internet-related identities.

The extension can suit network services, hosting, infrastructure, technology organizations and companies serving the Chinese market. It remains part of the .CN registry system rather than a generic .net domain.

CNNIC's registration process requires real, accurate and complete registrant information, with registrars carrying out identity or organization verification using the documentation required for the registrant type. That makes registration more controlled than a typical unrestricted gTLD.

The “net” category does not replace any separate telecommunications, hosting or internet-service licensing that a business may need in China.

VYR classifies .net.cn as mixed: it is broadly usable, but practical registration involves meaningful identity-verification and .CN policy requirements.
