.lotto

.lotto is a restricted generic top-level domain for the regulated lottery sector. It is not a general-purpose extension for any website about games of chance.

The published .LOTTO Registration Policy defines eligible registrants to include lottery operators and other organizations that meet its specified criteria. Eligible groups include licensed or authorized lottery operators, qualifying suppliers of goods or services to the lottery industry that belong to an approved standards body, and approved lottery-industry bodies themselves.

Registration uses an eligibility and verification process rather than ordinary unrestricted availability. The Acceptable Use Policy also requires compliance with applicable lottery laws and prohibits use for unlicensed or unregulated games of chance.

A .lotto domain therefore carries a narrower industry context than a general gaming TLD, although users should still verify the specific operator and jurisdiction.

VYR classifies .lotto as restricted because both registrant eligibility and verification are explicit registry requirements.
