.li is the country-code top-level domain for Liechtenstein. The registry service is provided by SWITCH on behalf of the Principality's Office for Communications and uses the same core registration framework that SWITCH publishes for .ch and .li.

The registry's general terms do not impose a Liechtenstein citizenship or residence requirement for ordinary .li registrations. Names are registered through accredited registrars and allocated under the registry's general rules, making the namespace accessible to international registrants as well as local organizations.

For businesses, institutions and services connected with Liechtenstein, .li gives a direct geographic identity. The two-letter string can also be used creatively in international brands, although that use does not change its status as a country-code domain.

A .li address does not prove that a business is incorporated or physically located in Liechtenstein.
