.ke

.ke is the country-code top-level domain for Kenya and is administered by KeNIC. A direct name such as example.ke sits immediately beneath the country code and does not include a category such as .co.ke or .org.ke.

KeNIC describes the direct second-level namespace as allowing one name before .ke with no specialization. By contrast, third-level categories identify particular functions, and some of those categories require supporting documents, such as government or academic namespaces.

This makes direct .ke a flexible choice for Kenyan businesses, organizations, creators and services as well as other registrants seeking a Kenya-focused identity. The absence of category specialization should not be confused with the separate accreditation requirements that apply to companies wishing to become .ke registrars; those are registrar rules, not ordinary registrant eligibility.
