.je is the country-code top-level domain for Jersey, one of the Channel Islands. It gives businesses, organizations and individuals connected with Jersey a concise local identity, while the registry also makes the namespace available more broadly.

The Channel Isles registry operates .je alongside .gg. Its published registration agreement says that, in general, there are no restrictions on who may register or use a .je name, provided the registrant supplies accurate information and complies with registry rules. That means a Jersey address or company registration is not a general prerequisite for an ordinary second-level registration.

For a Jersey-focused business, tourism project or community site, the geographic meaning is straightforward. Outside the island, the two letters may also be used creatively as part of a brand, although visitors may still associate the domain with Jersey.
