.group

.group is a generic top-level domain built around a broad idea: people or organizations connected by a shared purpose. It can describe a company group, community, membership organization, project team, holding structure or collection of related services.

The extension works particularly well when “group” is already part of the name people use for the organization. It can also give a parent company a neutral umbrella address while individual brands continue to use their own domains.

Because the word is so broad, the domain name before the dot needs to provide most of the context. A visitor may not know whether a .group site represents a corporate group, social community or professional association until the full name and website make that clear.

.group is an open generic top-level domain. Standard registrations are generally available through participating registrars, subject to registry and ICANN policies. Individual names may still be reserved, premium, unavailable or affected by trademark and other legal rights.
