.gallery

.gallery is a generic top-level domain for spaces that present collections of visual work. The word can refer to art galleries, photography galleries, online portfolios or curated collections.

It can suit artists, photographers, museums, commercial galleries, designers and digital platforms that organize visual material. A personal or project name followed by .gallery can communicate presentation and curation more clearly than a generic web address.

The extension does not indicate that a gallery is physically located somewhere, represents particular artists or owns the rights to works shown on the site. Those relationships must be established separately.

For creative businesses that also offer services, commerce or education, .gallery may work best for the exhibition side of the brand rather than the entire organization.

.gallery is an open generic top-level domain, generally available through participating registrars subject to registry and ICANN policies, reserved names, premium names and third-party rights.
