.football

.football is a generic top-level domain centered on football, a word that can refer to association football, American football and other codes depending on the audience.

The extension can suit clubs, teams, leagues, coaching, fan communities, statistics, news, equipment and local sports organizations. A team, place or topic before .football can create a clear sports identity.

Because the meaning of “football” varies by country, the second-level name and site content should make the code of the sport obvious where ambiguity is possible.

A .football domain does not imply affiliation with FIFA, the NFL, a national federation, league, club or other sports organization unless that relationship actually exists.

.football is an open generic top-level domain, subject to registry and ICANN policies, reserved names, premium classifications and third-party rights.
