.dog

.dog is a generic top-level domain centered on dogs and the products, services and communities built around them.

The extension can suit breeders, trainers, groomers, boarding, rescue organizations, pet retailers, veterinary-related information, communities and personal sites for individual dogs. A breed, brand or dog's name before .dog can create a simple and memorable identity.

The domain does not prove breeder registration, pedigree, animal health, professional training credentials or charitable status. Those details need to be verified through the relevant organizations.

Because the word is highly specific, it is strongest for dog-focused projects and may be limiting for businesses that cover many kinds of pets.

.dog is an open generic top-level domain. Standard registrations are generally available through participating registrars, subject to registry and ICANN policies, reserved names, premium classifications and third-party rights.
