.diet

.diet is a generic top-level domain centered on food choices, nutrition and eating plans. Its meaning is clear, but it sits in a field where health claims can carry real consequences.

The extension can suit recipe projects, nutrition education, meal-planning tools, food communities and qualified professionals who want a domain focused specifically on diet. It can also work for brands selling products or services related to structured eating plans.

A .diet address does not indicate that advice is medically sound, that a person is a licensed dietitian or that a product is safe or effective. Health and nutrition claims should be supported appropriately, and regulated advice must follow the rules that apply in the relevant jurisdiction.

Because the word can imply weight loss or health treatment, projects should consider the expectations created by the name before using it as a primary brand.

.diet is an open generic top-level domain, subject to registry and ICANN policies and third-party rights.
