.design

.design is a generic top-level domain for work and brands where design is central to the identity. IANA lists Registry Services, LLC as the current sponsoring organization for the extension.

It can work well for graphic designers, product designers, architects, UX and UI professionals, studios, agencies, interior-design businesses, portfolios and design publications. The extension can reduce the need to add words such as “studio” or “portfolio” to the name when the design focus is already clear from the ending.

Design is a broad field, which gives the extension more flexibility than a narrowly defined professional TLD. The tradeoff is that visitors may not know whether a site concerns architecture, fashion, graphics, digital products or another discipline until the rest of the name and branding provide context.

Registration is generally available through participating registrars, subject to registry and ICANN policies. A .design registration does not certify professional qualifications or ownership of creative work, and trademark, copyright and other legal rights remain separate considerations.
