.democrat

.democrat is a generic top-level domain built around a political term used for a person who supports democratic ideas and, in some countries, as the name of a political-party affiliation.

The extension can suit political commentary, campaigns, advocacy, community organizing and personal political identities. Its meaning depends strongly on national context: “democrat” can be used generically while also carrying a specific partisan meaning in places such as the United States.

The domain itself does not indicate endorsement by any political party, election authority or public institution. Registrants should avoid implying an affiliation they do not have.

IANA classifies .democrat as a generic top-level domain, and its registry operates under the standard ICANN framework rather than a party-membership eligibility system.

VYR therefore classifies .democrat as open, subject to registry and ICANN policies, reserved names and third-party rights.
