.degree

.degree is a generic top-level domain strongly associated with academic qualifications, higher education and educational information. The word can also have mathematical and measurement meanings, although education is likely to be the main interpretation online.

The extension can suit course directories, education publishers, university-related resources, career services and platforms that help people research degree programs. A subject or institution-related name before .degree can create a clear educational address.

The domain is not an accreditation system. Registering a .degree name does not give an organization authority to award academic degrees or prove that a program is recognized by an education authority.

Educational providers should represent accreditation and qualification status accurately and comply with applicable laws.

.degree is open from a domain-registration perspective, with ICANN public-interest safeguards and registry policies applying to regulated or credential-related claims.
