.cz

.cz is the country-code top-level domain for the Czech Republic and is operated by CZ.NIC. It is the standard national domain for Czech businesses, organizations, services and individuals.

CZ.NIC's current registration rules define a holder as a natural or legal person and do not impose a general Czech residence or local-company requirement for ordinary domain registration. Names are registered through registrars under the registry's rules, and the holder must provide accurate registration information.

This broad eligibility makes .cz available to foreign registrants as well as Czech users, although the country signal remains strong. An international company can use .cz for a Czech-market presence without the domain itself proving that it has a Czech legal entity.

CZ.NIC also runs separate processes for certain expired-name auctions. Eligibility rules for those auction procedures should not be confused with the rules for ordinary registration of an available .cz domain.

VYR classifies ordinary .cz registration as open, subject to CZ.NIC rules, name availability and third-party rights.
