.country is a generic top-level domain built around geography, national identity and rural or country themes. Despite the word, it is not itself a country-code domain.
The extension can suit country guides, travel, culture, music, rural businesses, communities and projects that use “country” as part of the brand. It can also work for informational sites covering one nation when the second-level name identifies that place.
