.archi is a community generic top-level domain created for the architecture profession. Unlike an ordinary open industry-themed gTLD, its ICANN Registry Agreement includes Community Registration Policies with explicit eligibility requirements.

The official policy requires applicants to be verifiable participants in the architecture community. Eligible categories include architects connected to International Union of Architects member sections, architecture firms or organizations employing qualifying architects, and certain architecture-related schools, museums, media and other approved organizations.

The policy also requires the chosen name to be one to which the applicant has an established right through registration or use. This makes .archi a professional community namespace rather than a general branding term available without qualification.

A .archi domain does not replace professional licensing or local regulatory requirements for architectural practice.
