.ae

.ae is the country-code top-level domain for the United Arab Emirates. It gives businesses, organizations and individuals a direct UAE identity and is the main national domain used alongside the Arabic-script .امارات namespace.

For direct registrations under .ae, the Telecommunications and Digital Government Regulatory Authority states that everybody is eligible. A registrant does not need to be incorporated or resident in the UAE simply to obtain an available standard name. This is different from some category-based zones beneath .ae, which can have their own eligibility requirements.

The extension is especially useful for companies serving customers in the Emirates, local services, tourism, media and international brands maintaining a UAE-focused presence. Its geographic signal remains strong even when the registrant is located elsewhere.

A .ae domain does not by itself prove UAE company registration, a trade licence, government approval or physical presence in the country.

VYR classifies direct .ae registration as open, subject to .aeDA policies, reserved names, applicable law and third-party rights.
